Whitney Houston In Talks For Sparkle
The new sony confirmed today that Whitney Houston is settling to star in Sparkle, The new sony Pictures’ remake from the 1976 music drama.Houston’s last giant screen appearance is at The Preachers Wife in 1996. The American Idol Show champion Jordin Sparks and Mike Epps are affixed to star within the remake from the film, in line with the story of the Supremes-like women group. With what could be her first movie role, Sparks is placed to experience the title character.Houston would play her mother. Mara Brock Akil (TV’s The Overall Game and Female friends) authored the script. Salim Akil (The Overall Game), her husband, will direct. Debra Martin Chase is creating.Shooting is scheduled to start the following month. Tri-Star Pictures is disbursing in colaboration with Stage 6 Films. Warner Bros. lately introduced plans for any remake from the Bodyguard, Houston’s most well-known starring role.
